Due to the Leaf Rapids mine closing in 2002, the church has been inactive since 2005. The church owns both a building for meeting and a manse which are both unoccupied. The majority of the church's income is assistance from the PAOC. There is hope that sometime in the future, the church can reopen, but it is also possible that, if a buyer for the church building comes forward, it will be sold and the church officially closed.
