We conducted 6 monthly card parties(Feb-June, Nov.)for residents, local seniors & the general public(6:30-10:30 pm; at least 4 auxiliary members volunteer). We provided on a monthly basis flowers for new residents & residents celebrating birthdays(2-3 hours;2 volunteers per month). We provided upgraded shampoo & conditioner for all residents(=135)for the entire year. We purchased & distributed December holiday gifts for all residents(=135). We provided pointsettias(=35)as centrepieces for LMV's annual December holiday dinners. We provided flowers for both Mother's Day & Fathers Day family brunches(3 hours each for 2 auxiliary volunteers), an Easter lily for the chapel in April & Valentine roses. We provided bus transportation for 4 resident outings(mall shopping, nursery, pow-wow, blueberry farm); 2 to 4 auxiliary members attending each. We held 10 homemade lunches/BBQ's(3rd Wed. in month)for interested residents, day care clients, staff & visitors(fund raiser & social occasion 8:30-2:30pm; 4-8 auxiliary members volunteer). we sponsored musical entertainment for 4 Thursday afternoons in 2016 and New Year's Eve, plus weekly ice cream days for residents & visitors, once a month shrimp meals in summer and some special summer desserts.
