An original Steering Committee was established with volunteers in the community, to determine the feasibility of forming a Foundation in the Headingley community. This Steering Committee recommended the incorporation of the Foundation and application to CRA for a Registered Charity certification. The Foundation operations are completed entirely by volunteers, including members of the Board and volunteers from the community. The first year of operations concentrated on establishing fund raising activities and promoting community awareness of the Foundation.
