In collaboration with Indian teachers and educators we apply our media and participatory based learning approach to helping disadvantaged young people learn traditional academic subjects in a classroom setting. Subjects include Hindi, English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Environmental Studies. Our programs focus on curriculum for remedial students and students in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades. We create educational content and media which improves the efficiency and effectiveness of students' ability to learn from Indian government textbooks. Using technology, multimedia and creative learning we bring these textbooks to life, give the concepts within them local context and relevancy, and inspire kids to become more engaged and interested in their education. We prepare and implement after school structured educational programs in disadvantaged communities, with the aim of improving learning outcomes and students performance at government schools. Our students see a marked improvement on standardized school tests. We conduct training workshops for teachers and educators who work with disadvantaged children to help them increase the quantity and quality of low-tech and high-tech resources they have available to use with students in their classrooms.
