Services Provided by Mimico Children's Choir
We operate a children's choir for any child interested in singing after school each week, with choristers from 5 different schools. The children rehearse after school each week for 2 hours where a donated snack is also offered. The children also perform in 4-5 concerts where they demonstrate their abilities. The choir is organized and run by 7 volunteers and 1 paid administrator who administer (e.g. website, manage funds) and manage the overall direction of the choir, contributing in excess of 150 hours collectively each year. There are 3 professionally-trained vocal and piano coaches who are paid on a part-time basis to teach and mentor the children.
