Services Provided by The Legal Leaders For Diversity Trust Fund
The Trust Fund in trust to be used exclusively for the following objects of the Trust: (i) To advance diversity in Canadian law faculties and by extension to enhance levels of diversity in the Canadian legal community and to advance education by funding and providing publicly available scholarships and other financial assistance to students with Disabilities to be used for undergraduate or graduate studies in law at a law faculty in Canada in which they are registered ("Eligible Beneficiaries"). "Disabilities" includes physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others. (ii) To provide Eligible Beneficiaries with equal access to a legal education. (iii) To offer financial assistance to selected Eligible Beneficiaries. (iv) To defray the expenses of selected Eligible Beneficiaries such as, but not limited to, specialized books, equipment, educational aids, transportation, tutorial services, tuition, housing, and maintenance.
