Akoma Family Centre Incorporated (the "Organization"), incorporated on August 13, 2013 under the laws of Nova Scotia, is a registered charitable non-profit organization which operates a residence for children in care of the Minister of Community Services. The Organization commenced operations on April 1, 2015. The vision of the Akoma Family Centre is to provide services that enhance the health and well being of children, youth and families of Nova Scotia. No child shall be denied services to Akoma by reason of race, colour, religion, national origin, or sex. The Akoma Family Centre provides short term residential care for siblings in the care of the Minister of Community Services. We provide specialized services to meet the needs of children, youth and families, in the Province of Nova Scotia.
