Burnaby MoreSports promotes health to the community by providing free coaching of sports and education of physical literacy skills to school-age children by its sports program leader staff and trained volunteer youth coaches. Burnaby MoreSports addresses and prevents problems faced by non-supervised, under-involved children and youth by operating and maintaining the structured and supervised sports program offered at the elementary schools. 2. Burnaby MoreSports empowers youth through training and volunteer opportunities to be role models and leaders in their community. The volunteer youth coaches trained and supported by Burnaby MoreSports are mentors and build positive relationships with the school age children during the daily sports programs.
