Upon opening of our newly renovated facility expected in May 2017, AX: Arts and Culture Centre of Sussex expects to: a) To advance the public's appreciation of the arts by providing a public arts centre for the exhibition or presentation of visual arts productions or installations; and b) To advance the public's appreciation of the arts by producing public art exhibitions, presentations, and performance art(s) events, and by providing a forum for qualified artists to exhibit, present, or perform their artistic works through participation in such events; and c) To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the aforementioned charitable purpose. Currently, we have approximately 20 volunteers working many hours to develop and define our physical space during renovations. They are working on exhibition ideas and schedules for the upcoming year, networking with local artists to develop workshops for both adults and children, and forming a literary group and making contacts with various book clubs in the area. They are also managing the finances of the organization.
