Garry Oak Preservation Society is dedicated to the preservation, protection and restoration of Garry Oak stands and their natural habitats. The purposes of the Society are: -preserving, to the greatest extent possible, the remaining Garry Oak stands and ecosystems -protecting and maintaining these -restoring damaged representative stands of these -promoting and conducting research into these ecosystems -raising donations to support this mission -promoting the aesthetic and natural values of these landscapes, their species and elements -fostering a sense of oneness with nature through these endeavours The Society operates primarily within the Capital Regional District and is associated with like-minded groups.
