Our new program will be to continue to strive for a continued presence in community events, with the hope of actually increasing that presence in even more communities. It is also our goal to enhance the involvement with our youth so that they can enjoy the atmosphere of being part of the Glengarry Pipe Band as well as learning about the Scottish culture at the same time. We will continue to encourage expansion, welcoming diversity in our members and continue our close affiliation with the Glengarry School of Piping and Drumming as well as the Glengarry Highland Games Association As our goal to enhance the involvement with our youth, the Glengarry Pipe Band commenced the start up of a Juvenile Band (age requirement is under 18) with involvement of a group of dedicated individuals using their experience to educate this group to enable them to play and compete in their first competition this coming season, and to be involved in community events along with other band members.
