American Civil War Historical Re-Enactment Society is a

Members attended 3 days of drill/instruction between Jan 1st and Apr 30th to prepare for the year's activities. The organization did not host a Civil War Encampment during the year; however, members did attend several events hosted by other reenacting units in Ontario. On Saturday April 16th, our organization hosted a Spring Cotillion in Cambridge, Ontario to which the general public was invited to join us. One of our members set up a static display of equipment and clothing and dida presentation on Canadian involvement in the American Civil War at a park in Adolphustown, Ontario. several of our members did a presentation for theNavy League cadets in January. Another member, a teacher, did two presentations (one in March and one in October) to students at Pauline Johnson Collegiate in Brantford, Ontario. Finally, we continued to raise monies for a "Canadians in the American Civil War" monument to be erected on the site of the Lost Villages Museum in Ontario with the dedication scheduled for Sepember 2017.
