A new show, Nomadic Tempest, was written, designed and the music composed. Auditions were held and theatre tech crew were interviewed. The new opera was work-shopped on September 2016 in Vancouver BC with a large cast of performers from past Caravan shows and tours. Production headquarters for the 2017 season was located in St. Petersburg where the show will premiere. A 2017 Gulf of Mexico Tour was organized to include St Petersburg Florida, New Orleans and Beaumont Texas. Finding appropriate sites for the BC part of the 2017 Tour were found to accommodate space for the ship and audience, then each site was coordinated in Gibson, Bowen Island, Vancouver and Victoria. The transport of the vessel to be part of Canada 150 was negotiated with one of our sponsor: German shipping company, BBC Chartering
