Services Provided by Inter-A Students Society
We fully/partially fund several field trips per year, particularly a 3 day group, leadership retreat. We support the programs cultural workshops and proviral workshops and provide several meals per year during special events. The inter-a also provides several scholarships and bursaries per year and purchases extra school supplies. Our parent volunteers facilitate workshops, raise funds, help students raise funds and organize special events. We collaborate with the teaching staff and continually look for new ways to support the program and enhance our students opportunities. Also, Inter-A Student's Society: The Inter-A Students Society was incorporated under the Society Act on April 21, 1989. The Society was initially formed according to it's constitution 'to enhance and promote the educational opportunities for Inter-A students through the raising of funds.' Over the years, the Society has continued to raise funds to provide the unique experiences, particularly outside of the classroom environment, which Inter-A students are offered through this program. In the past, these have included the Marine Studies and Training Program and the Outdoor Leadership Training at Newcastle island, as well as the annual Retreat and many multicultural field trips and celebrations organized throughout the year.
