FILM 5-FILM 5 is AFCOOP's professional development program for emerging writers, directors, producers and technical crew. Grants for Filmmakers-AFCOOP's filmmaking grants support the production of local independent films through in-kind equipment and resources. Filmmaker in Residence-The Filmmaker in Residence program provides support and resources to one experienced filmmaker to create a film with the involvement of the community. Workshop Series-AFCOOP runs two comprehensive series of workshops designed to introduce basic concepts of filmmaking to the public. Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival-HIFF is 5-7 day festival designed to showcase independent film from Atlantic. Canada and beyond. Filmmaking Equipment and Facilities-AFCOOP provides filmmakers with access to production equipment and facilities at reasonable rental rates.
