Programs to establish a support system to individuals and their families in Manitoba who are affected by Lupus. Provision of a telephone service giving information and advice to callers. Publishing a newsletter providing information to members that they amy not ordinarily hear about. The maintenance of on-line facebook support groups. Lupus Society of Manitoba also tries to ensure that the most current information is provided to medical students where they may be instrumental in assisting in the diagnostics and treatment of the disease. Lupus Society of Manitoba works in conjunction with Lupus Canada on the National Awareness Campaign held each October by informing the public about the disease and participates in funding Lupus research. Our primary goal is to continue supporting the people affected by this disease and hold hope that one day a cure will be discovered.
