We hold cultural events such as mochitsuki,boys and girls day and seniors day We offer cultural workshops such as cooking,crafts,ikabana and sumie calligraphy We offer cultural/recreational clubs such as reading,Japanese drumming and folk dancing. We have Japanese videos that members can borrow. We publish a quarterly newsletter We provide a small financial support to any person or group,subject to a successful application,that proposes projects that informs,educates and enhances the community regarding Japanese culture and the Japanese Canadian experiences. This is called our development fund. We assist individuals in need of language translation/interpretation or emotional support as in the case of immigrants adjusting to life in Canada. We house a group that studies Japanese Tea Ceremony and hold summer and winter events related to this activity. We provide funds to members or the community at large who initiate programsto promote Japanese culture. We provide events at Canada Day,Folk Fest,Ottawa Schools and Asian HeritageMonth
