We support and strengthen volunteerism in Kamloops through promotion, recruitment, education, orientation and referral services for individual Kamloops citizens who wish to volunteer and for member non-profit organizations. We maintain a volunteer recruitment & referral centre in Kamloops. These services are administered primarily through the Volunteer Link Program, which includes Volunteer Mentorship and the needed to begin volunteering. The primary purpose of the Volunteer Link Program is to give individual Kamloops and region citizens the tools needed to begin volunteering. This includes but is not limited to: information on local volunteer opportunities, mentorship on how to approach volunteer roles and interviews, advice on how to get the most out of their volunteering efforts and personalized referrals to specific volunteer opportunities. Referrals include but are not limited to those opportunities advertised by Volunteer Kamloops member non-profit organizations. The individuals we recruit and refer are not required to register as members.
