The Institute on Governance explores, develops and promotes the principles, standards and practices which underlie good governance in the public sphere in Canada and abroad. IOG programs build and facilitate learning networks and partnerships to disseminate experience and best practices related to good governance. We offer a range of learning events and undertake policy relevant research, provide advisory services, and design strategies in all of our theme areas. We bring people together in a variety of settings including events and professional development activities to promote learning, share ideas, and debate issues. The IOG also shares what it learns through the writing and free dissemination of publications and policy briefs. Current theme areas include indigenous Governance, Modernizing Government, Board and Organizational Governance, Public Sector Governance, Research and Learning.
