The charity raises money and gives awards to female students and educational institutions for scholarships/bursaries/awards. Post-secondary institutions which give education awards in the name and under the criteria of CFUW North Vancouver include:Capilano University,SFU,BCIT and UBC. We have self-sustaining endowments set up at Cap U,SFU and are in the process of completing our endowment at BCIT. Awards are given to selected graduating female students continuing on to post-secondary education from North Vancouver public secondary schools and the Learning Together for Pregnant and Parenting Teens. We make application to BC Gaming for funding. We also give an Artists for Kids camp bursary to ayoung female high school student to work on their portfilio in preparation for entering post secondary in the arts.
