The Board of School Trustees of School District No. 52 (Prince Rupert) is responsible for the operation of the public school district including Prince Rupert and the surrounding area. In 15/16 the district enrolled about 2,047 school aged (and 6 adult) students in a variety of provincially mandated and local developed programs from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Donated funds received are used in support of diverse cultural, athletic, and other extra-curricular activities; and to provide student scholarships for post-secondary education. The District also receives donations of equipment such as old automobiles, art, musical instruments, books, computers and other items used in support of its instructional programs
