1. We run support programs for disadvantaged women. The weekly afternoon and evening programs include guest speakers, cooking lessons, crafts, entertainment and community outings. Nutritious snacks are provided. The afternoon program also accommodates for the preschool children of the participants. 2. We provide a support group for residents (former psychiatric patients) in two group homes. The weekly program offers community excursions, games and entertainment. 3. We fund and distribute food boxes comprised of nutritious food items to many elementary and several secondary schools in Waterloo Region. 4. Some members volunteer in a literacy program. 5. We provide funds for needy children to attend summer camps. 6. Many members staff a consignment store operated by the May Court Club.
