SRABC is committed to assisting BC's stroke survivors after they leave hospital, and their caregivers to improve their quality of life. The core elements of the program are as follows: 1. Mobility exercises 2. Improvement of communication and memory 3. Acceptance, social interaction and recreation 4. Peer support 5. Caregiver Support 6. Education about stroke risk and impairment. SRABC offers information and referral services to the public, and distributes information about strokes to stroke survivors and their families, and to other agencies that provide stroke-related services. SRABC works with Health Authorities and with Stroke Services BC to raise awareness of stroke recovery and to improve standards of care.
