Administer in partnership with the Department of National Defence, under an M.O.U. and the Air Cadet League of Canada (Ontario Provincial Committee), a Squadron for youth, fostering the development of citizenship. leadership & life skills around an interest in aviation to youths 12 to 18 years of age. During the school year, the young men & women of the squadron participate in local training through a program developed with guidelines established by the Department of National Defence. During the summer months, Cadets have the opportunity to attend a variety of summer courses, usually hosted at military bases across the country and range in length from 2 to 7 weeks. Summer courses include general, survival, instructor, leadership, aviation technical, glider and powered flying licences and band courses among many others. Cadets also participate in and support various civic activities in their communities, such as Royal Canadian Legions poppy fund raising, Remembrance Day, Canada Day and other civic activities.
