We provide coordination to community institutions & resource providers (through a Refugee Response Team) to respond to Syrian refugee orientation & integration needs. We provide support groups, counseling sessions and mentorship programs for multi-barriered LGBTQ Newcomers. We provide settlement services to pre-approved Permanent Residents from India destined to arrive in BC. We provide on-line facilitated & self directed courses focusing on job search & communication skills to to pre-landed newcomers, to find and retain employment, upon arrival in Canada. We engaged in a pilot research project that tested whether training in Design Thinking will impact on internationally trained professionals' ability to secure employment in occupations that more aligned to the skills and qualifications from their home countries.
