Operation of a public gallery, providing a venue for Northern artists an opportunity to expose Northern audiences to other artists. Provide public programming in the Gallery including artists' talks, concerts, coffee houses and literary readings. Courses and workshops in visual, literary and performing arts. Children's programming and programs for professional and emerging artists. Provide scholarships to Island Mount Arts Society programs. Annual "Arts Wells" festival for live music, art shows and workshops. Research the cultural sector in British Columbia Hold International Harp School Artist Residency and Retreat. The artist-in-residence program facilitates and fosters the creative, professional and personal objectives of visiting artists.
