Services Provided by The Polish Combatants' Association In Canada, Branch 8, Ottawa Foundation
To help Polish charitable organizations in Canada: 1. Support and care for armed forces veterans who are impoverished; and, 2. Support undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students in Canada; and, 3. To support and promote education in the Polish language and Polish history in Canada; a.By providing scholarships, fellowships, bursaries, prizes and financial assistance to students who without financial assistance might not otherwise be capable of completing their education. b.By providing financial support to Polish Canadian schools and other schools that are qualified donees under the Income Tax Act (Canada) and to Polish programs and courses at Canadian universities and colleges and to Polish professorships at such universities and colleges. c.By providing financial support to impoverished persons for housing, medical and counselling needs. d.By providing financial assistance to qualified donees for the development and promotion of: 1) programs of Polish language instruction, religion, and history 2) youth organizations, such as scouting; and 3) the research and writing of the history of Polish Canadians and the Polish Combatants.
