Victim Services of Peel (VSOP) offers a wide variety of programs and services to help those affected by crime and tragic circumstance in Brampton and Mississauga. Highly trained staff and volunteers provide immediate crisis intervention, advocacy,Counselling, and resources to people when they need it the most. VSOP's programs include: Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario (VCAO); Violence Against Women (VAW); South Asian Family Enrichment Program (SAFE); Transitional Housing Support Program (THSP) Victim Quick Response Program (VQRP); and Resources, Education, Advocacy and Community Help (REACH). VSOP's services include: Crisis Intervention, offering 24-hour a day emotional and practical support for individuals and families who have been victimized; Short Term Counselling, offering information and referrals to community resources; Scene Attendance, responding to the emotional needs of individuals at the scene of a crime or tragedy; Court Advocacy, ensuring victims' rights are upheld and that the system takes the required steps to maintain the safety of VSOP`s clients.
