MATCH International continues to support the work of women's organizations in the Global South who are holding ground and protecting hard won gains as well as breaking new ground for a more just world for women. The MATCH Fund addresses systemic barriers, policy and policy and legislative gaps and programming needs through the provision of financial and capacity support to women's organizations working at the grassroots. MATCH International continues to strengthen its grant-making portfolio, this year it will provide support to more than 23 women's organizations working across a range of issues. Specifically, the organizations supports is divided into two grant streams-holding ground and breaking ground. Through the 'holding ground' program, MATCH International supports a rape crisis centre in South Africa, A Women's farming cooperative in Nepal and programs for indigenous women in Guatemala. Grants provided in the 'breaking ground' stream support leadership programs for young women social entrepreneurs in Kenya, feminist documentary film makers in Georgia and IT engineering hubs for young women in India. The above are examples of the grant-making within the MATCH program.
