The Royal Ottawa Hospital Volunteer Association (ROVA) assists the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group (ROHCG) with improving the health and wellbeing of patients.ROVA generates funds through the operation of a coffee and refreshment kiosk,a used clothing shop,a hair dressing salon,vending machines,Christmas tree sales,banking machine (ABM) revenues,donations,and other fundraising activities.ROVA allocates funds directly to patient care projects such as community outings,recreational equipment and activities,social work,art,and craft supplies,holiday parties,social assistance and emergency clothingand hygiene requirements.
