New programs include inclusive, educational programs for community members interested in Black History Month and the LGBTQ community. A number of different programs and resources were introduced for families to help them understand the new BC School Curriculum and to generate interest in STEM-based learning, RPL invested significant resources into developing job-ready skills in youth by growing, developing and fostering volunteer programs. RPL formed a partnership with the Richmond Christian School to explore intergenerational programming that employs students as leaders and offer digital programs to suit different grade levels. Digital learning skills outreach programs for seniors are being offered by library staff at several seniors residences in Richmond. Child development and family literacy continue to be very popular program areas.
