Support the monastery and the monastic community. Promote the teachings of the Buddha through: spiritual guidance from the Abbot, weekly dharma talk, newsletter, website, mindfulness days, and winter book study. Talks are available on the website for download. The center is open every day: anyone is welcome to come visit for the day Scheduled meditation retreats: participants receive instructions and teachings from the Abbot every day during their stay. Provide opportunity for a volunteer stewardship - serving the hermitage community. The steward may be someone interested in entering the monastic order or feels a need to serve in this way. The public is welcome to use books and reference materials at our new resource center. Arrow River Forest Hermitage is 100% volunteer run. All teachings and activities are provided to the community at no charge.
