Services Provided by Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre
We provide: as safe shelter staffed 24 hours per day for women and children who are fleeing an abusive environment; 1-1 counselling, groups and resources to women and children in the community; a summer program for children; transitional support for women leaving the shelter and setting up independent living arrangements; child witness groups for mothers and their children; prevention programming in the schools, court support program; facilitation of program for Domestic Violence Coordinating Committee. Volunteers provide services such as sitting on the Board of Directors, driving, grocery shopping, fundraising, donation pick up and sorting, residential support and childcare.
