The council promotes art as a cultural attribute to the city, surrounding area & citizens; to foster interest & pride to the cultural heritage. To interpet the work of cultural groups to the community, enlist public interest & promote public understanding. The council acts as a link with provincial & national bodies instituted for cultural growth; acting as a clearing house for cultural projects & activities. The council co-operates with & obtains consultation assistance from the organisation of SK Arts Councils (OSAC) & the SK Arts Board, for the purpose of obtaining information & guidance for the services offered. We continue to develop our website & Facebook page to provide updated information on the arts.
