The Virden Music & Arts Festival is an annual event that provides performance and educational opportunities for students of the arts through competitive and non-competitive classes.The purpose of the organization is to promote and encourage the arts in Virden and the surrounding community. A wide range of disciplines are provided, including dance, visual arts, speech/drama, piano, band/instrumental, and choir.Adjudicators provide balanced assessment of performances through constructive criticism and dempntration of supplemental feedback from regular instructors. Performers from large surrounding area participate in the festival.
