For more than forty years, The Cultch (The Vancouver East Cultural Centre) has offered dynamic programming in theatre, dance and music by local, national and international artists. We continue to enrich the social and cultural life of the greater Vancouver area by bringing world-class cultural presentations to the public, supporting the growth of emerging artists and companies, offering a dynamic youth program to youth, ages 12-24, at no charge and facilitating dialogue between groups throughout the Lower Mainland and especially within our local community of East Vancouver. More than 150 volunteers play a key role in our organization, contributing approximately 5,000 volunteer hours per year. We now have a 3rd venue, the York theatre on Commercial Drive, expanding our charitable activities on the east side of Vancouver. Our Mandate is to provide a venue for performance that explores contemporary art forms, serves the artistic community, and brings together diverse audiences.
