The Richmond Singers is the longest standing choir in Richmond. We are 55 women who have been singing in harmony for 45 years as a community choir. We have sung for World Hospice, 2010 Olympic Campaign, Cancer Night for Hope, builders without Borders. Richmond Society for Community Living and represented Richmond and B.C. at Unisong in Ottawa and Festival 500 in St. John's Newfoundland. During this past year the full choir held 12 performances including on two annual fundraisers held at Christmas and in the Spring. Our small group, the Richmond Singers Ensemble, held 45 performances for senior shut-ins, adult care facilities, hospitals and senior events and joined the full choir at our Christmas concert, In July 2016 we travelled to Powell River BC and participated on Kathuaumixw, an International Choral Festival with 1000 singers from around the world. We were invited to join and in addition to a final mass choir concert we performed our won repertoire in the community 4 times and also participated in competition.
