Purpose of the Charity: The Prairie Journal Trust is established for the advancement of the mind (education) for its own sake so that the mind can be trained with provision for public dissemination of knowledge gained; to disseminate such knowledge by publication and disbribtion of an academic journal, namely The Prairie Journal of Canadian Literature containing poetry, fiction, drama, and review articles, and to fund the publication of said journal. Activities of the charity during the fiscal year in Canada. Writing of an original and instructive nature was collected for publication. The typing, layout, design, word-processing, paste-up followed the process of editing and copyediting. All this activity occurred in Calgary, Alberta. The journal was distributed in independent booksellers through Magazines Canada (formerly C.M.P.A.) and by subscriptionWith no permanent or temporary full or part-time staff, no salaries, fees an benefits. The Trust relies on volunteers who receive honouraria to encourage their efforts.
