The Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History was formed to study and promote public interest in the history of the law, the legal profession and the judiciary in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada and to stimulate research and publication on these subjects. The Society meets these objectives by publishing books on Canadian legal history, sponsoring collections of oral histories from individuals within the legal community, providing research and publication grants, and sponsoring and hosting legal history seminars. The Society provides annual/biannual awards and fellowships to students in the field of Canadian legal history.
