The organization continues to provide four tiers of high level training for Canadian artists, fostered in a professional environment. The four tiers are: 1) established professional Canadian artists; 2) emerging artists at the early stages of professional careers; 3) university music majors; 4( community youths. 2015-16 saw the further development of the youth chorus. It has also become the Arcady practice to engage youth residing in the hosting or presenting community by having them participate in the performance. The performers trained by Arcady perform new music written for them by their director. All receive their training free of charge and are mentored in rehearsal and performance by the professional artists. This past year saw an expanded group of Emerging Artists and the introduction of a student composition contest.
