The Calgary Folk Club is a proud participant of the Canadian Folk Music Awards. The Calgary Folk Club with the Bow Valley Music Club present the Alberta Room at the Annual Alliance Conference generally held in Kansas City where Alberta artists are featured and promoted to other folk clubs, folk festivals, music venues, and the likes. The Calgary Folk Club also contracts artists to present songwriting workshops, children's concerts, harmony workshops, and local community events in an efforts to promote music listening and participation. These are arranged on an irregular basis depending upon artists availability and music exposure expectations.
