In 2016, over 1500 volunteers supported the work of the Bruce Trail Conservancy, which represents the equivalent of 75 full time jobs. Bruce Trail volunteers lead over 1,5000 guided hikes each year. Eight million people live within ninety-minutes drive of the Bruce Trail of which hundreds of thousands of people visit the Bruce trail every year. We are currently engaged in the Escarpment Legacy Campaign to help us to secure the remaining portion of unsecured trail so that future generations will be able to enjoy Canada's oldest and longest foot path.
