Thanks to an innovative partnership with the indigenous focused Treadright Foundation and the Metis owned company Manitobah Mukluks the Museum hosted the first Storyboot workshops in the fall of 2016, an educational opportunity for young indigenous people willing to learn the traditional beading and moccasin-making techniques. The extraordinary success of this series of workshops, led the Museum to organize and series of workshops open to the general public. These classes are held every weekend at the Museum as a wonderful inter-cultural ongoing event.
