The mission of the Regional Council of Young Men's Christian Associations of Alberta is to foster growth and development of local YMCAs throughout Alberta by providing leadership development programs and supporting program development locally, nationally and internationally. The types of programs carried out during the fiscal year may include: social, leadership, training, multi-cultural, instructor certification, lifestyle programs, youth Service corps, YMCA association development and leadership training. The Regional Council participates in the ongoing partnership with the YMCA of Bogota, Colombia, facilitating support through sponsorship by the local YMCAs.
