The Whitney Pier Youth Club aims to deliver programs and services that promote the well-being of youth and their families whithin the local community of Whitney Pier. The Club offers the following programs: arts & crafts, dance & drama, homework & tutoring, lunch and after school nutrution program and community cooking classes. In addition, the Club has an in-house gym facility, computer room equipped with computers that have educational software and games. There is also a game room where children can socialized have fun. Throughout the school year, a series of special events are orgnized such as Elementary School dances, Eagles hockey games, Haloween Haunted House, Fun Fair Day, Grading Day and March Break activities. During the summer program there are camping trips, beach trips, educational activities such as sightseeing at museums. The Torch Club is a small group leadership and empowerment program for youth aged ten to thirteen. Torch clubs empower youth with the knowledge and the skills to make positive choices in their lives in addition to giving them a place to use their creative skills to make a difference.
