In 2016,Sage along with six other organizations recieved funding for the Pan-Edmonton Group Addressing isolation in Seniors (PEGASIS).The aim of this 3-year project is to reduce social isolation among Edmonton seniors.This work is accomplished by increasing the number of socially isolated seniors who:have help and support when they need it;participate regularly in activities;feel connected with others;and feel valued in their communities. Sage also received ongoing funding for Ageing to Sageing,a program to support senior-led neighbourhood-level initiatives that helps seniors to exploretheir gifts and how they could offer them to support children living in poverty in their neighbourhood,and to develop projects that will contribute tothe inclusion,safety and civic engagement of seniors in Northeast Edmonton.
