The Association held its 40th annual festival in April 2016. The festival provides amateur musicians with the opportunity to perform; to compete for scholarships; To listen to others; and to be adjudicated by national and international adjudicators in junior, intermediate and senior-piano, musical, theatre, choral, voice, strings, guitar, handbell, woodwinds, brass, composition and speech arts. The grant concert showcased several of the most entertaining entries and included the presentation of scholarships and plaques for the winners. Approximately 80 scholarship worth $8,425 were handed out.
