In 2016, Serena Ontario devised and implemented an outreach project that led to follow-up with clients from the past 3 years. This provided data for retention rates, answered client questions and was a recruitment opportunity for new volunteers. This project yielded new volunteers who are training to be teachers with Serena. This was part of a renewal project that will involve ongoing train-the-trainer workshops, as the new volunteers receive an updated training plan.
