Samaritan's Purse is involved in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the utmost parts of the world and exemplifying Christianity to others by actsand deeds patterned after that of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10).Our ministrywork is primarily accomplished through overseas agents and partners whose activities are recognized by the Board of Directors to be consistent with the charitable objectives of the Corporation.Our ministry programs include:emergency response/disaster relief;distributing gift-filled shoeboxes to children in developing countries;providing clean water,sanitation,and health and hygiene training;medical training and infrastructure;food security and livelihood programs;sending medical personnel to overseas mission hospitals and clinics;sending youth people to developing countries to help meet local needs and to promote a greater awareness and involvement among Canadian youth of relief and development issues;sending adult work teams to develoing countries to improve the conditions of the communities/people visited;placement of logistics personnel in overseas locations to facilitate all of the above activities.
