The Foundation also ran the following non-continuous special projects in the year: -The Minerva School Project funds initiatives to promote science careers for young women. -The Reading A to Z and RAZ-Kids program provides on-line resources that support reading and writing. It is tailored to students in grades three to eight. -The Literacy Bags program provides students in Kindergarten to grade two with school made bags that contain books and actvities that encourage family involvement in developing reading skills. -The Music Plus program funds initiatives to establish band programs for youth in need.
